Kathryn Brooke

Trust is very important to me. The trust I develop with my clients is the foundation of our business relationship. I never stop working to strengthen those relationships.  Whether dealing with a small matter on behalf of an individual or a large project for a business client, I represent my clients on a distinctly personal basis.  It is my goal to work every day with clients I care about. 

From 2004 to 2009, I was General Counsel of RE/MAX equity group, inc., one of the nation’s largest real estate brokerages.  In that capacity, I advised the company and its agents in real estate and agency law, defended the company and its agents in disputed matters and authored numerous forms and articles for the benefit of my clients.  Prior to 2004, my practice focused on both real estate transactions and commercial litigation.  My legal background includes condemnation and other real estate litigation, as well as a wide variety of business litigation matters, including environmental, patent infringement, and shareholder dispute cases.  Prior to joining Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 2001, Ms. Brooke was with the law firm of Tonkon Torp LLP.  Ms. Brooke also has a background in corporate accounting and finance as well as information systems development.
 
I am a member of the Oregon State Bar, as well as the Multnomah and Washington County Bar Associations.  I have one husband, four sons and two dogs.  Between the boys and the dogs, my house is rarely ever completely clean.
