About Joseph
Biography
Before attending law school, Joe was as a litigation supervisor in a large collections firm in Portland and a paralegal assisting a solo practitioner in consumer and business bankruptcy matters. During law school, Joe clerked for Vial Fotheringham and managed a boutique foreclosure defense firm in Lake Oswego where he assisted owners with claims for wrongful foreclosure. In 2012, the Willamette Law Review published his article “Enforcing the Oregon Trust Deed Act,” which details the current legal issues surrounding foreclosures in Oregon. His experience representing both creditors and consumers gives him a unique perspective from which he assists community associations in navigating the complex area of HOA collections and foreclosure.
