Does not put his client first

I would give him zero stars if I could. We hired Alan for a custody hearing. The court date was set 10 months ago due to Covid. Opposing counsel has been requesting and re-requesting the same information over and over again. Older and wiser, it seems, not stupid. Enough for Alan to keep charging... each time OC sends a new email asking for the same thing. We are posed with an agreement which is full of non-negotiable items. One by one, we address. My ex agrees to let up and agree with terms we’ve had in place for years. One thing non-negotiable is a holiday schedule. We have always had 3 weeks in the summer — consecutively. My ex now is ok with 3 weeks but 1 week per month. (As she has verbalized, “You have 2 other children, I only have 1.” I vehemently oppose this and tell Alan this. He is now nervous because he thought we would settle. He’s never been before a judge before. He’s wanting to settle. We do not. Bottom line… our court date turned into a virtual meeting. Alan, our attorney, was not prepared to represent our case. We made it clear our objections. Wanted to meet at his office. He did not make that an option. The judge came on and asked each counsel if there are any objections to the agreement before him. Alan said, “No.”. NO????? I sat there dumbfounded and the case was closed. He did not represent me, his client. He wasn’t prepared and totally screwed our ability to take my daughter to see her grandparents in Texas. Do not trust this man. He acts confident at first and then cowers when it’s crunch time. With one word that wasn’t my own, we got screwed from dad/daughter time and time with her grandparents, sister and brother.

A Great Employment Law Attorney

Alan Nieczyporuk was very helpful and responsive to all my questions and concerns. Alan was with me every step of the way with deciphering and guiding me through legal documents in a time sensitive situation. His knowledge and personal attention to all the details were appreciated as was his prof...essionalism. It was an absolute pleasure working with Alan.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
