It's fine for the executor to read the will. And, there doesn't need to be a gathering of a bunch of heirs in a room, either. That's just for TV.

Ridiculous. Your son should NOT waive his right to counsel. And you should file an ethics complaint with the Oregon State Bar against that DA.

Yes, a landlord can make that decision.
My boyfriend is in jail for 30 days on contempt charges with bail listed as "o.oo" Does this mean you cannot bail him out?

If he was given a punitive or remedial contempt sanction, then there is no bailing him out - it's like a 30-day sentence.

If he's your roommate, you have no right to evict him - only the landlord can do that.
If he's not paying rent, then he's putting YOU at risk...
