Michael Paul de Muniz

I had been referred to Michael to handle a re-trial after having a 20 yr old case overturned. One of the things that I appreciated the most is his honesty. After dealing with the legal system for so many years I was dubious of everything and everyone involved. From the start he explained things with...out sugar coating or giving false hope. With this straightforward, professional approach also comes a personable individual. He listens. Something rare in the legal realm. He would listen to what I said and actually ask questions to understand my thoughts better. Then he would weigh how that would help or hinder my case and explain why. Michael always kept me in the loop, even if it meant reaching out beyond office hours. Again something rare. Ultimately my case was dismissed. Honestly, I feel if it hadn't been for Michael and all his hard work this would not have been possible. I can not express enough how grateful I am to Michael. He literally gave me my life back. Something I felt would never happen.

Recently I had been named as a Respondent in a petition for a Stalking Protective Order (SPO). I had consultations with multiple attorneys because I needed to feel that I could trust the attorney would give me the absolute best defense that can be had. When I contacted Mike de Muniz, he was attent...ive, cordial and very professional. I gave him a brief summary of my issue, after which we set up a meeting to consult in more detail about the case. During our consultation I felt confident in his knowledge and experience. His humble demeanor and actual concern stood out when compared to the other attorneys I spoke to. I had done some research before the consultation and learned that Mike de Muniz is very highly regarded among his colleagues in the law field as well as in the local community. In addition, his retainer fee was very reasonable compared to others. When it came time for the trial, Mr. De Muniz cleaned house with the Petitioner. He put his knowledge and professionalism on display, which played really well with the Judge. He remained cordial with all parties, while seizing every available opportunity to object when necessary. After the Petitioner rested his case, Mr. De Muniz motioned for a directed verdict which resulted in the Judge dismissing the case against me. Before the hearing was adjourned, Mr. De Muniz asked the Judge to make additional rulings on various elements of the Petitioners claims, in the even the Petitioner decided to appeal the ruling. The Judge then made multiple additional rulings that were all in my favor and became part of the official record. Aside from being the one on trial, I really enjoyed watching him work. I hope to never require legal services again, but if the need arises my first call will be to Mike de Muniz.
