Working with this lawyer following the passing of my husband has been a nightmare. I gave him a retainer check and he immediately cashed it and placed the money in his personal account, not a client trust account. He then charged me for filing fees. He attended hearings and kept times, dates and outc...omes to himself to hide his actions. He was called out in court by the defense attorney who said he should not be practicing. Up until one week prior to the Summary Judgement court date, he had not one deposition started and he was still talking about his professional witnesses. I fired him for his incompetence and he agreed to give me my retainer back (in writing). I ultimately had to take him to Small Claims court and won a judgement against him. This is in collections now. I also reported Mr. Parker to the Oregon Bar, which resulted in a three year probation being imposed against him.
