Satisfied client

When we got ripped off in a large business deal, our regular business lawyer recommended several big name litigation attorneys for us to interview. We met each one and chose Joe Field of Field Jerger in Portland. Field impressed us with his intelligent questions, lack of sales pitch and his engagi...ng, energetic personality. Working with Joe Field was like having a high powered New York lawyer in a more laid back Oregon law firm. Field treated our case with the same sense of urgency that we did, but stayed calm and calmed us when necessary. He was always available to speak to us and to analyze our issues and our questions and to lay out and discuss our options with us. Field kept us informed with emails and phone calls at all hours (even on weekends) and really impressed us with his non-stop energy and enthusiasm. Field approached our lawsuit like a big chess game and would discuss litigation options and costs and possible outcomes and repercussions with us at each stage. We really liked his attention to detail and his focus on cost/benefit analysis and how strategies would play out in court. Field was a great communicator in court, which seemed to please the judge and to dis-nerve the opposition. After our string of victories on preliminary issues in court, our defendants capitulated before trial and agreed to pay us back the money they owed us. I highly recommend Joe Field and Field Jerger. They worked well together as a team and kept us involved and informed so we were an integral part of the litigation team. Field is honest and straight forward. He is not the cheapest lawyer in town, but he knows how to deliver results. I hope that we don't have another large lawsuit, but if we do, we will definitely hire Field.
