Initial consultations are always free, and if you are local (or at least fairly local) to the Portland area, I am happy to come to you. I enjoy seeing where the creativity takes place and getting a good sense of my clients’ businesses beyond just their intellectual property. That said, we represent clients from around the country, some of which we have never met in person, and we like to think we know them pretty well, regardless.

I take pride in my work and especially enjoy coming up with creative ways of claiming inventions that will provide broad protection for my clients. I also enjoy advising clients on the selection and use of trademarks, as I recognize the importance of strong branding in today’s marketplace.

I am a member of both the Oregon and California State Bars, and I am a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
