Biography
I focus my practice on intellectual property litigation, opinion work, and patent prosecution relating to high-tech industries and emerging technologies. I also maintain a strong interest in criminal and Constitutional issues, and in the areas of overlap between science and the law. I have served as a scientific expert in several criminal cases, as pro bono counsel for prisoners bringing civil rights complaints against the state, and as defense counsel in disciplinary actions brought by the Oregon State Bar. In 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, I was recognized as one of Oregon’s top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys when Oregon Super Lawyers magazine named me to its Rising Stars list.
