Jeffrey S Frasier

I retained Jeffery Frasier in Nov 2025. After being billed for 106.2 hours in fees, and little to nothing had been accomplished on my behalf, I terminated my representation with Frasier. I retained a new firm to start over with my case. The new firm not only repeated the same tasks, but they did c...onsiderably more, including reading my Buchalter file which had been sent to them. The new firm accomplished these same tasks undertaken by Frasier, and more, in 32.2 hours! As the other firm stated, mine was a straightforward case, backed with the data to show the intent to defraud was unmistakable and overwhelming. I provided all the materials and expert reports to Frasier when I retained him. He did not acquire anything more than what I provided. My case revolved around sellers’ failure to disclose a major default with the property (+$200K). I was told I had a strong case for rescission of the sale. Without my knowledge, Jeffery Frasier’s first call with opposing counsel was to offer that I deed the property back to the same party that just defrauded me, they get to keep what I paid them for the property, and when someone else can be swindled into buying the property from them (with the undisclosed defect), then, I would get paid. Opposing counsel wrote to Jeffery Frasier that the scenario he, Jeff, proposed was not a good proposition for his client. Opposing counsel pointed out that the two parties should not enter a joint venture and there was no security protecting my interests. This was the best representation Jeffery Frasier could provide me when he thought I had a strong case? It did not get any better from there. It seemed Frasier was working against my best interests. I was billed over 60 hours to read the materials I provided. This was a fraudulent sale of a property; not a whole lot to look through, as confirmed by the new firm. Sixty hours is 1.5 weeks, working eight hours every day, just to read the materials. How many novels can one read in 60 hours? I was billed 28 hours to “draft a narrative” explaining the documents. I was billed 11.3 hours to write a two-and-a-half-page rescission letter. Over ten hours were spent coming up with questions to ask County and City officials. Questions included asking County and City officials why the sellers did or said things. County and City officials are not going to opine about what the sellers did and said when they sold the property to me. Frasier had the expert reports given to him, but still asked County and City officials to give their opinions of the property, which of course, the Officials refused to do so. This undertaking was completely a waste of time and money. I sent a letter with the breakdown of the billing (which Buchalter can verify) and described the ineffective and reckless representation I received to both the Managing Partner in the Portland, OR office and the President and CEO in the LA CA office, giving them the opportunity to dispute what I have described here, or apologize for the indifference to my case and reprehensible conduct of their attorney. I received no response from either. This indicates to me that this is a firm-wide approach to how they do business. It is what it is. Terminating Jeffery Frasier and retaining a new firm to start over saved me a ton of money!

Just like the previous reviewer, we had almost exactly the same experience, although our circumstances were different. When my husband first contacted Jeff Frasier about our situation, Jeff told us that “we have a strong case.” Based on the information and confidence he provided during that initia...l phone call, we decided to move forward with him. Unfortunately, we felt we were led on for nearly two years before going to trial. Throughout that time, Jeff repeatedly told us that we would “get something” from the case. He continued contacting us by phone and email asking for additional information about the situation, and we continued being billed for his time. Nearly a year after the lawsuit began, we met with him once to go over what to expect during the arbitration process. As someone with no prior experience suing anyone or working with an attorney, I relied heavily on my attorney to properly prepare and guide us. Unfortunately, that meeting left me with even more questions and did not make me feel prepared for what was ahead. Jeff then sent a junior attorney to handle the arbitration. In our experience, she appeared inexperienced and unprofessional. She essentially sat in the room with us during the arbitration, and we were billed for her time and presence, which was very concerning to us. After nearly two years of legal bills, we finally went to trial. Unfortunately, Jeff did not appear prepared or knowledgeable about our case. During the trial, he stumbled through his presentation and became frustrated. At one point, the judge even told him that he was repeating himself. On the second day of trial, the judge issued a directed verdict, meaning the judge ruled in favor of the other side because our side had not presented enough evidence to support our claim. The outcome was extremely devastating, especially after being told at the beginning that we had a “strong case.” After nearly two years, substantial legal fees, stress, and time invested in this case, we were left feeling that we had not received the preparation, guidance, or representation we expected from our attorney. In the end, we walked away with absolutely nothing except huge legal bills. I am sharing our experience because potential clients deserve to hear what our experience was like before deciding whether to hire Jeff Frasier. Based on our personal experience, we do not recommend him.

Jeffrey failed me in every way and it's my opinion that he lacked empathy or respect for the difficulties I was facing. It is also my honest opinion that I do not recommend him for legal services. He took advantage of me during a time I was vulnerable, while incurring excessive fees without providin...g the help I needed. Jeffrey Frasier increased his wages in the middle of our litigation without proper notice. He racked up a higher price tag with tasks that should have been completed in a shorter time frame, especially with his background and experience. He added billable hours to my invoice, then later sued me for his fees. He made no reasonable offers to settle our fee dispute, and even failed to attend our scheduled mediation. When making an important decision to hire a lawyer to represent your important legal matters... you need to ask yourself..... do you want someone who is willing to bring a suit against the client vs. assigning their fee claims to a collection agency? I really wish I would have done my homework, before being damaged and financially ruined by Jeffrey Frasier

We had contacted Jeffrey when we were referred to him by another Oregon lawyer & after I read about him on the site FindLaw. He is extremely courteous, very knowledgeable, sharp minded and is a very good listener. He acted promptly with our case and was able to put our minds at ease with a very stre...ssful situation. His charges were very reasonable and affordable; We were very delighted with his services and would definitely rehire him again as well as recommend him to others.

I have been involved with a case for which Jeffrey Frasier was the attorney. Unfortunately, I found him to be unfriendly and somewhat terse. Some of the clients he works for are very unprofessional and it made the entire process difficult for everyone involved. This was the first time I had been invo...lved with his group, and unfortunately I found it to be a troublesome experience and I would not recommend working with them.
