About Kevin
Biography
Portland native Kevin Anderson brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to his legal practice. After graduating from Jesuit High School, he attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he met his wife of over two decades. Kevin earned his Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, serving as Technical Editor of the Transportation Law Journal.
Kevin spent 12 years at Anderson and Yamada, P.C., where he became a nationally recognized transportation lawyer, focusing on cargo claim litigation under the Carmack Amendment. In 2020, he stepped away from law to pursue his dream of running a silvo-pastured pig ranch. However, his passion for advocacy led him back to the courtroom.
In 2022, Kevin joined Cornerstone Law Group as a criminal defense attorney, drawing on his early experience with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office. By 2024, he launched Prodigal Law, where he combines strategic advocacy with a personal touch to help clients achieve the best outcomes. Kevin lives on a 75-acre ranch in western Washington County with his wife and four children, balancing his legal career with homeschooling, teaching, and ranching.
