Walter Weiss Jr

Mr. Weiss is a trial and transactional attorney. 

He has a wide range of legal experience both in litigation and tranactional work.  On the litigation side, Mr. Weiss has handled many cases from basic personal injury cases to complex, multi-million dollar securities litigation. Clients include individuals, business entities, families, and even other attorneys. However, each client is unique, and as such so is every matter. Mr. Weiss does not take a cookie-cutter approach to his representation of each client. What may be good for one client and may be easier on the attorney, may not be good for another. Every matter deserves and gets direct attention.

The current status of the trial court system requires that an attorney be experienced in all phases of pre-litigation dispute resolution. Mr. Weiss is experienced in negotiation, mediation and arbitration. He is also involved in an active trial practice, in many different areas of law. Mr. Weiss has successfully handled cases involving personal injury, business litigation, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, construction claims (including construction lien foreclosures), contract litigation, property rights, family law, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and trust/estate litigation.  

On the transactional side, Mr. Weiss handles matters involving buisniess/corporate set up, estate planning and real estate matters.  His vast experiecne as a trial attorney provides his transactional clients with a competitive edge.

In addition, Mr. Weiss is a licensed commercial real estate broker.  He represents buyers and sellers of commercial retail assets throughout the United States.  

Socially, Mr. Weiss enjoys playing and refereeing recreational ice hockey. He also indulges in college football, especially the Oregon State Beavers!

Mr. Weiss is admitted to practice in Oregon State Courts, the United States Court for the District of Oregon and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
