Susana Alba

Susana Alba was a huge disappointment. Never seemed to be in the office, never got back to us in a reasonable amount of time, didn't seem to know our case very well or the law very well either. Perhaps most important though was her billing. She billed for every little thing and a lot of her time s...eemed questionable. According to her bill she spent more time talking to the custody evaluator than we did!? When she was given a bunch of discovery in electronic format she seemed not to know how to operate her laptop or search a .PDF file. This is when we became suspicious of her. She told us we had a great case and then at the last minute advised us to settle and told us we didn't have a very strong case. Huh? We settled with the feeling that she intentionally took her time and and continued to bill us so she could get the maximum amount of money out of us. A year later we hired another attorney and the difference was like night and day. The new attorney fixed several problems in Alba's settlement and things have been better since. I can not recommend this attorney for any type of work.

Susana represented my teenaged daughters in my divorce proceeding with their dad. He'd made the process very contentious and difficult - to the extent that the court ordered the kids be represented so they could be heard without having to actually testify against him. Susana handled the girls very w...ell. She was compassionate and responsive to their input. She quickly grasped the totality of the situation and her recommendations to the court were precisely what was in the best interests of the children. I will always be very grateful to Susana for her representation of my girls and her help in protecting them.

Susana is an excellent choice. After interviewing 3 lawyers, once I met Susana I knew I had found the right person to represent me. After trying to mediate my stubborn ex-spouse dragged me to court. He pulled all the stops and hired accountants to attempt to show how little he should pay me. Susan...a was very professional, really knows her area of expertise and made me feel secure in the direction we planned to go. She encouraged me to take certain steps but if I wasn't comfortable she rallied for me based on my choices. I got more that I expected in the end and she has been very patient and helpful to me. I owe so much to Susana, words can't begin to express my gratitude. I highly recommend Susana.

Separation and custody battles are one of the most stressful and trying life experiences one can go through. I am glad I had Ms. Alba on my side, as she was very empathetic, fair to both sides, yet assertive and bold when the situation called for it. She did her best to keep the case from going to tr...ial and successfully negotiated a parenting plan agreement that was in the best interest of our child. I would highly recommend her as a very straight-forward, bold, and experienced attorney.
