Poor communications and bad presentation

Ryan had asked for 3,000 to just write up a simple demands letter. The letter was so poorly written that I had to demand this letter not to be sent due to being embarrassed by it. I had no idea had this letter could of been so poorly written and misspelled words , and sentences that were incomp...lete. All the documents and all the overall gathering information Ryan had no part I had to go to the company and talk to them and ask them to please write up estimates take their personal time to send documents several times to Ryan I had sent Ryan copies of documents and I had a horrific experience happened to me where my computer and printer was stolen so I had to go to the library and have things copied off every time That entailed me driving gas expense and personal time that I was paying Ryan to do 4 months would pass without hearing from him I would call him up and say what's going on what's the delay he would say he needed the documents I had this conversation 3 to 4 times with this man I couldn't believe he hadn't written up the demand letter yet it was close to let's see first of July all the way to November before the first demand letter went out And as I stated that demand letter would not be sent due to improper information At this point I had already given them the money so I wanted him to at least send out a demand letter Then having conversations with him letting him know there was more damage since last conversation I was out of pocket for materials and labor so the man letter needed to change in the amount from the initial damages that this company had directly cause by their employees making executive decisions without a supervisor or even training Ryan writes up second demand letter disregarding the new damages not calculating all the out-of-pocket expense and not even putting the correct damage amount that I had to pay before I even got the job to start repairing our damages Then all the back of communications started I wasn't told when the demand letter went out I wasn't told when the 30 days was up Therefore I had no clue I would call to ask for updates and no call backs and when he had information about a mitigation between that company and the CCB board Ryan bails out of our case that has been traumatically and horrific experience to my family and I and been waiting so long for results The lack of compassion in concerns that we had were passed on to an associate in his firm without consulting us about it At the most crucial time Ryan informs Me 2 days before the mitigation meeting with the CCB board Knowing that our experience with Ryan not being prepared or not organized or having correct information I drove up from Lincoln City all the way to lake Oswego to speak with Ryan to discuss our plans The only appointment time was very late in the afternoon with weather being so bad I still went Getting to their firm I was not greeted by Ryan I was greeted by an associate of his that I had only briefly spoke to a couple of times Ryan did not even make his presence in person to me to personally tell me to my face why he was not representing us and why he made so many mistakes and just to give clarity of what his decision of backing out of representing us we had paid the money he asked and we did all the work and we're giving him a second chance to redeem himself after making several mistakes in the lack of communication that he decides to ask associate that we had never even met hardly talk to to represent us in the medication he never gave us a chance to be respectively approached in person He never even came in the room today address me after driving all that way. After mitigation this associate was supposed to file the papers the mitigator told us in 3 days will help your case be expedited since we've waited so long this is associate did not file the case has jeopardized our case and has asked for $5,000 more. I paid $8,000 for what. I received nothing He failed us

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
