Outstanding trial attorney for family law needs

Jaye Wickham Taylor is an exceptional lawyer for divorce and child custody needs who has earned my professional recommendation -- and personal gratitude -- through more than two years of extensive, successful work together. Jaye truly excels as a trial attorney in court, where her preparation, experi...ence, wisdom and ability to blend the art and science of family law sets her apart from her local peers. Jaye understands the real world, which enables her to confidently make in-the-moment judgment calls in the courtroom that can be the difference between success or disappointment. And, she has connections and insights that are invaluable. Experience matters and it translates into skillfulness at trial. Certainly the positive outcome Jaye secured for our family was due in large part to her knowledge of the judges, attorneys, expert witnesses, mediators and others in local legal circles. Jaye has a no-nonsense approach and a direct communication style. Jaye's pragmatic, unafraid to tell it like it is; she'll say when she thinks you're being unreasonable. Jaye is very matter of fact and doesn’t sugarcoat things. She is serious, sometimes sarcastic, without being insensitive. Some might describe her brand of legal counsel as tough love, and so she may not be an ideal fit for every personality. You'll forge a relationship with your divorce attorney that requires exposing your emotions, vulnerabilities, financial details and many of the other most intimate aspects of your life, so you want to feel comfortable with them on a personal level. I do and we've worked well together by communicating clearly and candidly, maybe bluntly at times. Jaye provides a very personal level of service, and her work ethic is incredible. She supported me in taking an active role in asking questions, understanding my options and contributing to strategy. She's skilled at knowing when to encourage her clients to consider another point of view, yet also when to support their wishes to the best of her ability. Not every case calls for a trial attorney, but when it does you want the best. You want someone who understands your situation and is willing to invest the effort it takes to get the details right, and fully educate you when you're uninformed. Jaye helps clients see beyond the emotions of the moment. She'll help you anticipate factors you would not have considered otherwise. Jaye has been a critically important legal counselor, and a trusted adviser in every sense.
