Jason Grosz

As the chair of a condominium association I had the great good fortune to work with Jason for 10 years. He was ( and still is) the Association's Attorney. I worked with him on a number of routine COA issues and he consistently provided clarity when interpreting applicable Oregon statues. In addition..., because of his extensive experience with homeowner associations, he was able to provide suggestions on strategies that had proven successful in similar circumstances. The most challenging issue he handled was our construction defect case. He represented us from the initial damage report through to the completion of the repair project. Over several years of the ordeal Jason not only provided excellent legal counsel but equally important he was a valued partner to our Board throughout the process. Throughout my extensive interactions with Jason he was consistently responsive; I could count on him to answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner. He also excelled in explaining complex issues to an anxious and angry community. Though always professional Jason also demonstrated empathy for the plight of the owners in a manner that helped defuse tense situations. Above all else Jason is an attorney with integrity. As we worked through complex and contentious issues I could depend on Jason to be honest and to be a strong advocate for the interests of the COA. It is my opinion, and that of my Board, that we would not have had a successful outcome to our construction defect issues had we not been fortunate to have Jason as our attorney. I have the highest regard for Jason.

I have worked closely with Mr. Grosz for about 2 years on our $4M HOA renovation project. During that time, he helped amend our CC&Rs to allow for a loan, then helped negotiate the loan with a few banks. He proceeded to help negotiate the contracts with our architect and contractor. We are almost ...complete with the project now, and we would not have been as successful without his initial help and guidance. There have been a few other HOA issues where his help was needed as well. In all these occasions and the renovation project, he was always prepared for meetings and showed great knowledge and anticipation of my questions. He was quick to understand any complexities of the issues and gave great insight on what I should expect with future difficulties of the project. When called upon to explain to the whole HOA, he was extremely confident and direct which proved very helpful to put homeowners at ease with such a large investment. I would highly recommend Mr. Grosz.
