We hired Ellyn to update our revocable living trusts, wills, powers of attorney and advance directives. We got her name from our internet search for a local elder law attorney. In that search we saw that not only was her office very close to our home and in what we knew was a beautiful office compl...ex, but also that she emphasizes arrangements for pets in estate planning. Our legal situation is probably more complex than some, as we (a) have lived together for many years but are not married; (b) each of us has heirs who must receive any inheritance through special needs trusts; © we have several pets whose needs we wanted to address in our estate documents; and (d) we have very few individuals whom we can call upon to act as alternative trustees should the need arise.
