We hired Ellyn to update our revocable living trusts, wills, powers of attorney and advance directives. We got her name from our internet search for a local elder law attorney. In that search we saw that not only was her office very close to our home and in what we knew was a beautiful office compl...ex, but also that she emphasizes arrangements for pets in estate planning. Our legal situation is probably more complex than some, as we (a) have lived together for many years but are not married; (b) each of us has heirs who must receive any inheritance through special needs trusts; © we have several pets whose needs we wanted to address in our estate documents; and (d) we have very few individuals whom we can call upon to act as alternative trustees should the need arise. Ellyn took great care in addressing all of our issues, confidently and professionally. She was a delight to work with and we felt great confidence in her expertise. She listens before she speaks. She does not interrupt and she finishes one thought or idea before moving on to the next. Ellyn represented us in an elder abuse case, in which a relative was being exploited both financially and emotionally. What impressed us most was Ellyn's thoroughness and quick response. In very short order we were able to establish both conservatorship and guardianship and protect the exploited part...y. This included court action and interaction with many different parties. Ellyn's knowledge of the law and the actions she took resulted in this favorable outcome. I can't imagine being represented in any better way--we would give her an unqualified recommendation
