With approximately thirty years of experience in patent prosecution (the process of getting a patent application), I take pride in being able to offer creative solutions to clients' real needs.  I will work with you to meet your patent goals.

 

I help obtain patent protection for mechanical devices (e.g. medical, tools, toys), software, business methods, and electrical apparatus. My services range from writing the patent application, to responding to Office actions from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, to obtaining and maintaining an issued patent.  I also help clients determine patentability and whether their product would infringe the intellectual property of others.

 

I am licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as in Oregon and California.  I represent clients from all over the world.

Best Patent attorney in TOWN
Karen has been my patent attorney for over 10 years now. The knowledge Karen has when it comes to patents is unmatched in my opinion. I have filed over 15 patents with her, of those patents over 10 have been issued and some are still pending. She is honest and trustworthy, I cannot recommend her enough. She always answers my calls in timely fashion and her prices are fair. She has also shot down many of my ideas saving thousands of dollars that could have been wasted.

Karen is a wonderful attorney that I recommend any chance I can. Professional Service - Patent Applications

Assisted me with the patent process for a new product that I had invented
I found Karen through an inventor's group on LinkedIn network. After our initial conversation, I was very impressed with her knowledge of the patent process and the way she described the various options available to me. I worked remote with her from the Chicago area and she was always very responsive and respectful of my time and my questions/requests. Her rates are very reasonable and she does not nickle/dime you for every question as it is built into your costs. I would highly recommend her to friends and colleagues.

Comprehensive and thrifty.
Karen helped steer me away from some pitfalls that were recommended by large firms. She explained everything to me and assured me that we would get the same results with a simpler approach.
