Sara Foroshani

Sara Foroshani is a highly accomplished Oregon criminal defense lawyer with over a decade of experience advocating for people inside and outside the courtroom. Through her extensive litigation and negotiation experience, Sara earned her reputation of being a fierce and compassionate advocate for the accused. She is well-respected by colleagues and judges throughout the state of Oregon. More importantly, Sara has a remarkable reputation with people she represented and their families.
Sara is known for her dynamic and detailed advocacy approach which includes actively listening to her clients, identifying their goals beyond case resolution, launching fact intensive investigations, consulting with various experts, engaging in extensive legal research & motion writing practice, developing creative trial strategies, and creating comprehensive mitigation packages. Due to her tenacious ways, Sara has had a successful track record for securing countless outstanding results including dismissals, acquittals, and favorable negotiated resolutions.

Sara graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School as a Cornelius Honor Society Member. She was a senior deputy public defender and trial lawyer at the Public Defender of Marion County and major felony attorney manager and director at Multnomah Defenders, Inc. Sara has presented at conferences for the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Oregon Justice Resource Center. She is a faculty member for the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial Skills College, a published legal author, and an award-winning lawyer.

Sara enjoys running the Oregon trails, rafting the Oregon rivers, camping in the Oregon woods, relaxing at Oregon wineries, and finding new Oregon adventures with her husband who also happens to be an Oregon criminal defense attorney.
