William G Blair

I am now semi-retired after 44 continuous years of practice. I am admitted to practice law before the courts of the State of Oregon at all levels; to the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, and to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to more than 35 years of intensive trial experience, I have served on the Oregon State Bar's Committees on Legal Ethics and Uniform Civil Jury Instructions, on the ORegon Attorney General's Task Force on Police Use of Deadly Force, on the Legislative Joint Interim Committee on the Oregon Tort Claims Act, and on the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board. I have instructed in various areas of municipal and law enforcement legal issues for the Oregon State Bar, the Oregon Law Institute, the Oregon State Sheriff's Association Command College, the Oregon Chapter of the APWA, the Oregon Chapter of the Public Risk & Insurance Management Association, the Oregon Police Firearms Instructors Association, and others. I am currently focusing my practice on training and consultation in law enforcement liability issues, and in mediation and arbitration.
