Extremely Professional and Result Oriented

First, I would like to say I am an actual client of Jared Washkowitz. Unlike the opposition that left a negative comment on his page. But it says a lot about an attorney when the opposition leaves a negative comment. It says that he is the attorney you want to represent you. Hiring Jared was one of t...he best decisions I’ve made, to represent me with one of the worse decisions I’ve ever made. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. This simple divorce case was drawn out unnecessarily by the oppositions for almost two years. Her motivation was to “try” to take everything I earned because I no longer was willing to be used and wanted out of the toxic, dysfunctional marriage. Fortunately, Jared was with me every step of the way. He was with me through all the useless (mandatory) mediation sessions, crazy rants, harassing emails and text, false accusations, fabrications, defamation and straight lies from the opposition. He reassured me that everything was going to be ok and to trust the legal process. That was sound advice because at the end of it all, the Judge ruled in our favor. I served honorably for over 25 years, so trust when I say he’s military friendly. So, if you’re looking for a lawyer who’s competent, trustworthy, honest, reliable, responsive, and hardworking; Jared Washkowitz is the attorney you want.

Extremely Unprofessional

I had the unfortunate experience of working with Attorney Jared Washkowitz as the opposing attorney, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. His conduct during my case was highly unprofessional and shocking. Not only did he present false information to the Hawaii Family Court, but he also went t...o the extent of altering documents to manipulate the proceedings. To make matters worse, Attorney Washkowitz demonstrated a complete lack of integrity by maintaining inconsistent financial records. This raised serious concerns about his credibility and trustworthiness as a legal professional. What appalled me the most was Attorney Washkowitz’s negligence towards our minor child with chronic medical conditions. He allowed Tricare medical insurance of our child to become inactive by his client , leaving our minor child with Asthma without essential care and medication and no active military identification card. As if that wasn't enough, he also allowed a child with asthma to have their Tricare medical care and medication discontinued, endangering their health and well-being. Furthermore, Attorney Washkowitz's representation of his client was biased and unjust. Despite his client's substantial income of $12,000.00 monthly, Attorney Washkowitz, shamelessly advocated for the minimum amount of child support for one child. This clearly demonstrates his lack of empathy and disregard for the welfare of the child involved. I strongly advise against seeking legal assistance from Attorney Jared Washkowitz. His actions reflect a complete disregard for ethics, professionalism, and the well-being of his clients, the Family Structure, Women and children. It is truly disheartening to witness such behavior from someone who should be upholding justice and advocating for the best interests of those they represent. Stay far away from this attorney if you value honesty, integrity, and competent legal representation.

I want everyone to know this person is NOT my client . It was an opposing party who after trial was found by the court to not be credible . Child support and custody were not even disputed issues in this case . This woman had her own legal counsel the entire case , but insisted on going to trial on financial aspects of the divorce and then lost on all issues . She is bitter about it, of very questionable sanity , and not a rational or reasonable person . I always act with respect to clients , opposing parties , counsel and the court bc that’s who I am and that’s how I practice , and because we live on an island., snd I have an equal number of men and women clients. This kind of review from a salty opposing party should not even be allowed , I wouldn’t do this kind of work if I didn’t actually care about helping families get to a better place. Unfortunately there are plenty of crazies out there such as this poster .

Seemed not interested

I actually contacted Mr. Washkowitz twice, as I hadn't heard anything the first time. And while he gave me information I expected, it came across as not really interested - maybe because it was in email, not actually over the phone - which I think I didn't provide a phone number, so not his fault - ...it was just that I didn't feel that he was vested in my case. Though I sent a few pictures, and explained there were 3 separate incidents. With that said, I gave him a good rating, because I didn't tell him everything, just a few items about my claim. From those few items, he covered items that I was concerned over. Explained that it could/would be financially draining, etc. Which going into any lawsuit is. I already saw what the fee is for an hour, and that's just the lawyer, doesn't cover any assistants or legal aids, people that need to be paid to make an investigation and come to a conclusion or testify, that may be needed, which may not be as large hourly, but still. So, if it wasn't worth it, even based on actual vs. principal, wouldn't even bother calling. Because this isn't something someone can tell me an estimate for, and guarantee it won't be more than, as if it needs to go to court, wait time, etc. will just keep adding up. It was the 'no guarantee' and that was it, that left me feeling like he didn't have faith in his ability to win or that he saw my claim as being worth it. I appreciate that it's honest. As it's a third party who will decide the outcome if we go to court. I obviously believe that anyone who doesn't see the damage caused by another person/party, should be compensated and made whole, is wrong, but I am partial cause it's my property. It was the feeling of not having someone who felt the way I did, that not only were lives jeopardized during each occurrence; harassment from the employees of the company; the lack of consideration to my property, and using it as a dumping ground; the overall lack of follow through; etc. that I went through - actually still going through. There was just something about that last sentence that left me feeling uneasy. I expect a judge to be impartial, but fair - but a lawyer I need to understand and empathize with my situation. I want to know, feel, that they are all in, to support conveying my feelings and frustrations to the court, to the best of their ability. I would recommend people to him, because he actually read what I sent him, which I found rare and responded professionally. With while I may change my mind if I can't find what I'm looking for, and see if he's willing at that time... In any event, Mr. Washkowitz took the time to contact me; spent time actually reading what I sent (which to me, makes him automatically a good lawyer - as I've gone through the sending only to be asked the same questions I've already answered in my email); and I'm grateful he took the time to answer me in a professional and honest manner. Thank you.

Thanks for the review and sorry I couldn't assist you further...I empathize with your situation and it must be frustrating. Unfortunately the down side of legal action is that it can be expensive and there are no guarantees, so if the monetary damages are not high enough then financial considerations come into play as to whether it's worth pursuing. Also want to clarify that this was just an initial consultation by email.

Terminated after filing for Workers comp

I left messages for this attorney to see if he would be able to help me with my case and he said he would send me his email address so I could send him my documents and he never did. I tried to contact him several times only to be ignored. I left messages for other attorney's on AVVO and couldn't fin...d anyone that would give me a call back or they were too busy or my case was not big enough for them.
