Mediation. The M & R attorneys are part of the court-appointed Volunteer Settlement Master program and have successfully mediated cases to avert trial and hearings in and out of the program. Mediation rates are available for otherwise-uncontested divorces that have just a few issues to settle; for pro se litigants who want an experienced family law attorney who knows all aspects of the law, and for parties with counsel looking for an entire settlement.

Workshops. NEW FOR HILO. Our Hilo office is opening in June 2020. We have workshops for *Know Your Rights - What You Don't Know Can Hurt You,* a pre- or early-stage divorce and custody workshop; *Preparing and Taking Your Own Case to Court," for those who want to represent themselves; * Property Division Law in Hawaii,* for those wanting a more detailed and nuanced overview of the law. Litigation. The touchstone of any family law case is the law and what a court might do if your spouse or former partner will not settle with you. M & R attorneys are highly experienced litigators. We settle many of our cases, and for those that can't be settled on good terms, you will want trial attorneys who are not afraid to litigate.
