Receiving a summons to appear for court, regarding any matter, isn’t the type of invitation most look forward to. When the summons regards a custodial matter, which for me was the case, the court appearance invitation was all the more unwelcomed because of the heavy cloud it places above those invol...ved. I have to admit that a hearing summons, such as this, brought upon charged emotions, racing thoughts, and unwanted worries that not only affected me but also affected my family. I had been going through my divorce case off and on for 7 years and I knew it was time for it to finally be over.
