Dominique Malia Tansley

Just recently had her "represent" me in my custody, move away case. Hardly answered my calls or texts, she lacked gathering vital and important evidence (which I provided a filing box with tons of evidence to choose from). Absolutely did not argue to prove my case. I spoke more than she did in trial!...! Soon after trial, and judgement was made, the last thing she has ever said to me walking out of the court house was " you have ___ months to appeal the courts decision". Tried to contact her, called her, texted her, and I got NOTHING. Literally! My child is now miserable living all the way on the opposite side of the country, and from being a highly involved, shared and equal visitation time and parenting time with my child, to literally less than 2 months out of the year I am able to spend and see him. Not to mention the payment given to her for her to actually represent me, was a waste of time money and effort. The entire time I pretty much represented myself, had counter evidence for her to try to get submitted into record, but she just kept reassuring me that she didn't need them!

I hired Dominique 3 years ago for an uncontested divorce case and just needed follow up to see how we could complete it since my ex didn’t seem to know what to do. She told me it should be done in 3 months and within my retainer fee. After I paid her I didn’t hear from her for 8, yes, 8 months. Durin...g that time I had emailed her repeatedly, with no response. I finally got in touch with her and went through a big process of filing a motion which was dismissed. I sent her a packet to turn into the court and asked her if anything was missing but she didn’t state that anything was missing and that it should be fine so she just turned it in and said I should hear within 8 weeks. Well we are a whole month past that 8 weeks now, and I have heard nothing from her after multiple requests for a follow up. She is asking for more money outside of my retainer fee as well. 3 years for an uncontested divorce is incredibly horrible service. It is very straight forward as my ex and I are NOT arguing about ANYTHING. Do yourself a HUGE HUGE favor and DO NOT hire this woman. I cannot afford to hire anyone else and she is not doing anything to help me finalize a divorce that was filed nearly 5 years ago now. S

Ms. Tansley has been absolutely wonderful through my custody battle. She keeps it real when I get a little bit hot headed or if I have expectations that are unrealistic.
