Richard Phillip Cotta Jr

Cotta appointed as my public defender approx 2 months ago, in that time we've talk once at the jail and briefly at my court dates. Ive attempted to communicate with him several times with ideas that I've had for my defense. He has repeatedly refused to put in any work (I.e. motions, investigation) a...nd finally I argued orally a marsden motion. He refused to give me a copy of my arrest reports, he wouldn't files 995 motion, and conflict of interest motion against the district attorney. The judged didnt agree with me but did order him to do specific things that he shouldve done without being told. My trial starts in a few days and we arnt remotely ready. I'm looking at a significant amount of time (10 years) and being rushed into this is scaring me. Arrogance can be accepted if there is valid cause for that arrogance. I haven't gotten that impression.
