Mr. Underwood is a very good attorney based on my experience with him for over 20 years. He does not do any personal injury or family law, but can assist with most business law, estate planning and real estate matters, and cases involving governmental agencies. There are always possibilities for misc...ommunication in conducting legal business, but Mr. Underwood communicates directly and in an understandable way, and is extremely fair with his fee policies and practices. I highly recommend him and his law firm based on many dealings with him.

Mr. Underwood picked up our civil case when his partner became a judge. We never actually met him in person and he seemed to be in a hurry to dispose of our case. The case involved our attempt to get a restraining order against a gun happy neighbor. The first draft he sent us appeared to ignore ne...arly a years worth of work with the original attorney. It took several iterations of the document before it finally caught up. The next several documents he sent us had glaring clerical errors. It took several days to get this straightened out. We finally got to a document that encompassed the issues we were concerned about. Mr. Underwood stated he would submit this to the court and it wasn't necessary for my wife and me to appear. The day before the court date, Mr. Underwood's new partner called us to see if we were going to appear in court. Subsequent to all of this, we received a huge bill. Mr. Underwood had charged us for all the contacts we had made to straighten out his poor work AND the partner attorney charged us for the phone call she made to us the night before the court date. Subsequent to all of this, we received some additional billing for something he did to review the case in his office. The last bill was for his reviewing the case and directing his staff to send us a copy of the final court order. That was more than a month ago and we haven't seen anything yet. I'm afraid to go to his office and ask for it. I'll probably get another bill.
