Betty Jean Williams

My practice focuses on all issues of tax controversy, including federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, employment tax, and property tax.  I handle all federal and California state tax matters ranging from IRS audits and appeals to court representation, including complex issues such as offshore compliance, corporate tax issues, and criminal tax matters.

I have represented clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Tax Court, and I have a broad range of experience with tax controversy issues including income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and IRS, FTB, CDTFA (formerly the BOE), and EDD collections, audits, and appeals.  I am admitted to practice by the State Bar of California, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
