Biography
The current full-time Executive Director of the California Veterinary Medical Association and former Managing Partner of Sacramento law firm Wilke Fleury LLP, Dan is a Martindale Hubbell “AV-Preeminent” lawyer who provides part-time support to the firm’s commercial litigation and public agency practices, as well as lead representation of specific firm clients. With over two decades of Sacramento-based experience that includes multi-year recognition by Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top 100 lawyers in Northern California, one of the top 25 lawyers in Sacramento, and Sacramento’s top-rated business litigator, Dan brings to the firm an extensive background of state and federal litigation and trial practice. One significant portion of Dan’s practice has involved pursuing claims by government contractors against the United States, including litigation actions before the United States Court of Federal Claims and the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.
Dan speaks and writes fluent Italian, and holds the highest foreign language certification (C2) issued by the Università per Stranieri di Siena (University of Siena for Foreigners). He lives in Sacramento with his wife Heather, a lawyer for the University of California Office of the President.
