HCD BUILDING PERMIT ISSUE

Maurice Priest was recommended to me from a friend. After searching information on Maurice I found him to be one of the premiere lawyers in Mobilhome law. Maurice was easy to talk to and was always available when called, and kept me informed as he worked our problem. Maurice after hearing the prob...lem I was having with HCD quickly laid out a plan and put it into action. Within a matter of days my problem was corrected with a very favorable outcome, our problem was solved! I will not hesitate to call Maurice in the future when an attorney is needed. I highly recommend Maurice Priest.

Mobile Home Residency Law knowledge

Handled a challenge against a city's amendments to its rent control ordinance which adversely affected me and a number of other residents of a mobile home park. Very knowledgeable in this area of the law, very competent litigator, clearly very respected in the field.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"This Review Program doesn't allow me to pick Mobilehome Law, but that is truly where Maury shines. I worked with Maury on two complex mobilehome/RV park matters in Plumas County that spanned over 11 years. Maury's knowledge and expertise was indispensable to our victory on MRL issues. There were numerous code violations, but more importantly, the park had been improperly licensed and built as an "RV Park", although what existed was a mobilehome park where the MRL would apply. We were able to prove MRL applied through Maury's testimony and expert guidance. He is always willing to consult with our firm to answer the hard mobilehome questions."

"Mr. Priest served as an expert in a class action we litigated involving alleged violations of California's Mobilehome Residency Laws (MRL). He was extremely knowledgeable on the relevant issues and timely provided thorough, objective and unbiased opinions regarding same. I have no reservations recommending Mr. Priest to any civil litigators in need of an expert in matters arising under the MRL."

"We engaged Maurice Priest as an expert in a consumer protection case involving a mobile home park owner. Maurice was very helpful to our case, offering sharp analysis of a complicated legal framework and applying it to the unique facts of our case. He demonstrated a broad base of subject matter knowledge and quick-thinking during a challenging site visit. He added clear value to our case and I highly recommend him."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
