Marc Lowell Hughes

Unbelievably bad experience. Mr. Hughes was a referral from a long time well respected friend who also practices law. When I initially met Mr. Hughes I was impressed, Very likable , intelligent classy guy, however that doesn't get the job done and his firm certainly dropped the ball. Multiple we...eks would go by without any contact or updates. Finally I heard back when they quickly exhausted the initial retainer. During the divorce proceedings the opposing Council is supposed to file a response to the petitioner, during our business relationship which was only about 2 months their firm never filed a response to the court. Without getting too deep into details their incompetence has cost me money but also damaged some extremely important relationships! I think this firm has forgotten they are supposed to be fighting for people's lives. I have finally found someone who I believe in completely, however there is some damage that can't be undone! I never thought about how important the "right attorney " is, it can and will change your life! This firm is only interested in making a buck and have no feelings or genuine aspirations of looking out for their clients best interests

What ever you do DO NOT hire Hughes Law Group. I had a super simple divorce - no child custody issues - no real estate - all we had were credit cards and personal property. It took 2 years and $12,000 to complete my divorce. Every time I talked to Marc I had to refresh his memory on my case. I ha...d to constantly call his office for updates. He did not stand up for me. I lost personal sentimental items because Marc did not word the agreement correctly. I WOULD NOT REFER HIM TO ANYONE!

I retained this Attorney Marc Hughes to represent me in my child custody case. I paid him a 3000 dollar retainer to file all legal paperwork necessary to be filed on my case, Substatution of Attorny, Responce papers, evidance I had against the respondent, none of which he file besides the Substatutio...n of Attorney. I had given Marc Hughes Court papers that needed to be served to the other party which he did not serve to him in which he told me he would. Marc Hughes had only been my attorney for three weeks we had not gone to court yet and he had already asked me to pay him at least another 1000 dollars because he had already used the 3000 dollar retainer. When we finally did go to court he showed up late for one then I learned during the hearing that everything he was suppost to file and he'd told me he file he did not file. In which case I lost my case against the other party. Because of this horrible man I refuse to call him an Attonery in the proffesional sence because an Attorney Files the appropriate documents and actually opens their mouth in court to establish their case in which Marc Hughes maybe said five words in total and did not argue against anything the opposing counsil said. And on top of all of this Marc Hughes walked into the court room late then had the audacity to tell me if this case go to trial I can represent you for another 5000 dollars. I would never ever recommend this man to anyone he is a piss poor example of an attorney his license should be revoked and he should never be aloud to practice law if you want to call what he did practicing. Because of this mans negligence my Daughter which is too young to talk or deffend her self gets unsuppervised over night visitations with her Father who is an Alcoholic and has two DUIs on his record in which both times he totaled both vehicles and had a blood alcohol level of .24 the first DUI and a .25 the second time in that DUI accident he hit three differnt trees and burnt my truck to the grownd. And I get nothing for child support and while I do not get child support and am unemployed from giving up my own carreer in the Air Force for a man that turned into a abusive and an alcoholic I was ordered to have to drive my Daughter up to see her Father who lives 400 miles away from were I live every other weekend in which it cost me 500 dollars each time after gas hotel food everything. And Marc Hughes could not even understand why I started crying after the ruling was made. He is a horrible excuse of an attorney DO NOT HIRE HIM AT ANY COST NEVER EVER HIRE HIM.
