Our family has used Jim twice - each time for adoption but in different capacities. In our first adoption, he was hired solely as our attorney and worked with our social worker and facilitator. In the second, he was both the attorney and facilitator. Jim and his team are great to work with. Adoption ...is a journey with lots of little bumps – when we first started out we had spoken to two potential birthmothers, and had one “false start”. We were new to the process, and had no idea what to expect, but Jim was there to help us talk out various scenarios and understand what we would be getting ourselves into in each situation. Every state has it's own procedures and adoption requirements, and it is important to have someone on your team that understands the complexities, nuances and who also has the experience. Throughout our first adoption journey, we found that Jim is that guy. When we finally matched with our first birth mother she was out of state. Jim worked quickly to find an agency for us to work with there and really drove the process throughout our match. After the baby was here, they worked very closely with the agency in Connecticut and our social worker to get us home as quickly as possible. We had such a good experience the first time, we decided to use his office in a larger capacity during our second adoption. This was a less complicated adoption legally because it was an in-state adoption, but our second birth mother was young, and needed a lot of support which Jim's office staff was able to give her. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them, and we now recommend Jim over the facilitator we used in our first adoption. Were we to adopt again, we would hire Little Angels in a heartbeat, we highly recommend them.
