Review

He was appointed to me by the Glenn county superior court. If I had known how little respect he is given in the courtroom earlier I may have requested that the assign me a different public defender. However, now it is a year later, the man has not done much of anything for me and to be honest I feel ...bad for the man. I do believe he really tries his best. However he must be overloaded with cases because he never can remember who I am or my situation. I have court with him every three months. On the occasion that he has to appear for me, I have a very hard time contacting him to get the date of my next court appearance. The Judge, Bailiffs, and other attorneys seem to have no respect for him when he speaks in court. Once (after meeting with him many times) he went outside when they called my name and was frantically looking around for me and came in saying “she must not have showed up, I haven’t been in contact..” then was interrupters by the judge pointing at me up at the stand. It was a bit embarrassing. He never seems to know the stipulations of my probation and it is pretty confusing to call and ask questions or get information. Thank goodness I kept all of my paperwork. He is a very nice man, but he had not helped me in my case anymore than I could have if I represented myself. I just really believe he could have gotten me a more reasonable plea deal if he had put in any effort at all. I feel bad leaving a bad review but it is so frustrating when you think that you are going to get help and the person that is assigned to do so can’t even remember your charges after a year of having you as a client...
