Dan Frank Koukol

When I first contacted Dan Koukol I told him I had been arrested on domestic violence charges. I remember when I first met Dan Koukol I was an absolute wreck. I was in jail for the first time in my life. I could not stop crying. I was absolutely terrified that I would be in jail for a long, long time. The first thing Dan did was get me out of jail. He was able to convince the Judge that I w...as not a dangerous person and that I deserved to be trusted. This was really important because for the next four years Dan fought my case for me – while I was able to go back to work and take care of my kids. Suffice it to say that I had been hanging out with the wrong crowd. I was charged in Federal Court with selling crack cocaine. The sentencing guidelines called for a sentence of at least 10 (ten) years! Dan was able to convince both the prosecutor and the judge to agree to a less serious charge and to “depart” from the guideline sentence calculation all the way down to zero days in jail. Everyone involved in the case was amazed at this outcome – especially me. I don’t really know how he did it but Dan seemed to believe in me and he just kept fighting for me.
