Biography
William Tyson has been practicing law since 1988 and is a member of the Sacramento County and State of California bar associations. He is a trained mediator and has served as a volunteer arbitrator and settlement conference panelist with the Sonoma County Superior Court civil and family law divisions. William was also an adjunct instructor with Santa Rosa Junior College where he taught in the legal assistant and paralegal studies programs. William is a Mason, a Vietnam veteran with life membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion. He is also active in the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento Chapter and is the current president of the Filipino American National Historical Society, Sacramento/Delta Chapter. In addition to his law degree William holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in economics and political science, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in accounting. Prior to his legal career William was an entrepreneur and started businesses involving construction and recreational river touring.
