Tim has extensive experience working in the criminal justice field. Over the span of 25 years, he has worked in every possible role in the criminal justice system. Before he attended college, he served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. In 1997, he graduated from University of the Pacific’s, McGeorge School of Law, where he received honors in Trial Advocacy.
Upon graduating from law school, he began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Placer County. Over the span of his five year career as a Deputy District Attorney, he gained valuable courtroom experience, prosecuting hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases.
Within seven years of graduating from law school, he served as a pro tem judge for a period of three years in Placer County.
Outside the office, he is an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law, coaching nationally recognized mock trial teams since 1997. He was also voted President of the Placer County Bar Association in 2005.
