  • Principal Attorney at TWM Legal, A Professional Corporation
  • Managing Broker at Land Catchers Investments®
  • Associate Attorney at Murphy Campbell Alliston & Quinn, P.C.
  • Design Engineer and Engineering Manager at L-3 Communications
  • Real Estate Agent at Value Right Realty Group

Trevor started off his career in real estate as a licensed CA Real Estate Salesperson. As he worked diligently to become a Real Estate Broker, Trevor mainly serviced home-buyers and investors in the greater Sacramento residential markets. As a licensed Broker, Trevor now offers full service representation for buyers and sellers in both the residential markets and the commercial arena.

While in his late teens and early 20's, Trevor attended college at The University of California, Davis where he pursued his degree in Engineering. During his time at UC Davis, Trevor studied extensively in the fields of electro-magnetics, analog / digital electronics, material science, and structural engineering. Later, after acquiring his B.S.E.E., Trevor went to work for L-3 Narda-West, a worldwide leader in the development and delivery of state-of-the-art RF payload equipment for the Satellite Space and Launch Vehicle markets.

At his division of L-3 Communications, Trevor started work as a design engineer. During his time as an engineer, Trevor developed several telecommunication components both for geosynchronous space satellites and for missile targets. Customers including NASA, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Space Systems Loral, Orbital Sciences, Northrop Grumman, and the Department of Defense all have benefited from the design and manufacturing techniques practiced by Trevor during his career as an engineer. By the end of his career at L-3 Communications, Trevor had been promoted to Engineering Manager of New Product Introduction where he managed a team of electrical, computer, and process engineers in an effort to manufacture high reliability space products.

Trevor attended law school at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento with the intent to return to real estate development and sales, as well as to enter the field of intellectual property rights. However, during law school, Trevor developed a passion for the law and how it shaped every aspect of the world he and others lived in. As a result, Trevor ultimately decided not to limit his practice to such focused areas of the law. After working as an Associate for Murphy Campbell Alliston & Quinn (formerly Murphy Campbell Guthrie & Alliston), and learning from one of the best Real Estate Litigation Attorneys in California, Trevor set out to open his own pratice focused on real estate services as well as comprehensive legal representation.

As your Attorney or Broker, you will feel comforted knowing that Trevor possesses special knowledge and skill resulting from his dynamic experience as an Engineer, Real Estate Broker, and Entrepreneur. His practice focuses heavily on real estate transactions (retail, office, development, and industrial) and disputes, intellectual property, business litigation, and general liability claims and defenses. In addition to his main areas of focus, Trevor represents clients in Employment Litigation (especially defense) and OSHA Citation Appeals.

Trouble With Our Neighbor's Trees
My neighbors tree roots were cracking our foundation, and my neighbor would not cooperate with any effort to remove the two offending trees. I randomly selected Trevor W. Martin from a list of real estate attorneys, and I was very happy I did. Trevor explained the legal aspects of our problem and what path of action the law required. We retained Trevor to address our problem with our neighbor and his complete and firm demand letter to our neighbor fortunately resolved the problem quickly. I would recommend his services to anyone facing a similar problem.

Excellent Representation
I have bought and sold homes a dozen times in my life, and I never paid much attention to my "choice" of Realtor. Mostly luck of the draw, and I really didn't think it could make much difference. Well, my experience with Trevor Martin forever changed my thinking on that. Most real estate transactions go fairly smoothly. No major hiccups or obstacles. There was a talk show host on the radio some years ago who insisted that you should have an attorney represent you in any real estate transaction, because when things go wrong, it can go wrong in a huge way. I actually tried to engage an attorney some years ago when buying a home, and the attorney I spoke with blew me off, said all I needed was a Realtor. What I can tell you is that I am majorly grateful that I chose Trevor Martin and Land Catchers for the recent sale of an investment property. His qualifications as an attorney became critical to the transaction. It started off easily enough. Trevor suggested a selling price that was more than I thought I could get, but he provided convincing reasons why his suggested price was not a "high ball" to get the listing. I quickly received two offers in the first week and ultimately sold the property for more than I dreamed possible. However, it was not easy. At every step, there were obstacles, and most of them would have stymied a traditional Realtor. We had an issue with an easement that threatened to cost me $30,000 which Trevor negotiated down to a fraction of that. As I had feared, the appraisal came in low and didn't support the sales price. Trevor prepared an exhaustive, well documented appeal, and within days, the appraisal was raised to match the selling price. I have no doubt that had I gone with a different Realtor, this sale would have fallen through. At best, the easement and appraisal issues would have force me to sell at a significant loss. Trevor communicated promptly and completely throughout the transaction, making sure I was updated at every step. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Purchase of property and new home construction.
Trevor was quick to respond to any and all questions and concerns we had during the whole process of our construction of our new home, which included drawing up contracts. If for any reason he didnt have an answer for us he was able to get back to us with the information in a timely manner. He was a great go between for us, concerning our Mortgage broker, title company, appraisal company and Contactor. We could not have made it through the past 10 months without Trevor. All the while he was extremely professional. We have referred him to several friends already and will continue to do so.

Very attentive and easy to work with.
I am a small business owner with a few employees. Trevor Martin represented me in an employment case for wrongful termination and wage claim. He quickly undercut the employee’s case and negotiated a more than favorable settlement for my business. Very happy with his representation and I appreciated that he kept me up-to-date and informed the entire time.
