Biography
Timothy S. Woodall is an accomplished Placer and Nevada County criminal defense attorney and a co-founder of Leupp & Woodall. A respected criminal and civil litigator, he has secured not guilty verdicts in an array of different trials, from DUI cases to serious felony allegations. He has also successfully defended the rights and interests of numerous minors in Juvenile Court.
A California native, Mr. Woodall earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Hastings College of the Law in 1983. After practicing civil law for five years in San Francisco, he joined the firm Leupp & Wachob. Firm partner Charles Wachob would eventually leave Leupp & Wachob to become a Placer County Superior Court judge. Mr. Woodall—whose pivot to criminal defense continued to yield favorable results for his clients—then partnered with Attorney Thomas Leupp and the firm was reorganized into Leupp & Woodall.
Most of Mr. Woodall's work is focused on criminal defense litigation (75%), but he also regularly negotiates the dismissal of his clients' charges and files successful motions based on violations of his clients' civil rights. He also continues to handle some personal injury and civil cases, as well.
