Our Review of Michael Crowley

For a year following our auto accident, my wife endured pain, two rounds of failed physical therapy, and, finally, surgery. During this period, given that the EPD accident report totally faulted the other driver, we expected a quick and reasonable offer from her insurance company. Instead, her insu...rance company representative treated my wife horribly - with rudeness, contempt and delay. In short, the bullying by the opposing insurance company led us to engage Mr. Crowley as our attorney. Our contact with the insurance company ended completely as soon as Mr. Crowley took our case. Mr. Crowley proved to combine a genuine concern for securing us a fair outcome with the toughmindedness, shrewdness, and great skill in argument that make him such an effective lawyer. In short, he won us the settlement to which we were entitled, and we thank him for it. Stan and Sherri

Working with Michael Crowley is an excellent decision

I was hit on my bicycle when someone opened a car door in my path while I was commuting to work one morning. Afterwards, the police reported that I was officially not at fault and on the day of everyone was completely cordial and sympathetic towards my plight as the victim. I didn't realize the exten...t of my injuries and I had never been in a serious accident before and so I thought I would have no need for a lawyer and all would be well. Much time, many doctor's visits, physical therapy sessions, and a full time medical leave from work passed and the reality of the situation hit. I did not know how to get compensated for my losses and no matter how decent the real people involved in my accident seemed, insurance companies are not real people and they are never on your side if you are trying to receive just and fair compensation for your losses. You are just a number in the system and they will squeeze all they can from you without giving anything in return. Unless you are intensively knowledgable at understanding personal injury law and you have a great deal of previous experience handling insurance companies, you NEED to work with someone like Michael Crowley because he is both knowledgable and experienced. After much anxiety, stress and despair trying to heal from my injuries AND attempting to receive financial compensation for my losses, I randomly found Michael Crowley when my husband and I looked up personal injury lawyers in our area. I had no one to ask for a recommendation and I could not have been happier with the outcome. My woes over attempting to navigate the confusing world of insurance claims vanished. Michael and his excellent paralegal and legal secretary kept me updated and informed, they were patient with my normal life schedule and the case was settled without a trial. His firm is easy to work with and I highly recommend his services. If you've never worked with a lawyer, you might think that it costs too much or you won't get your fair share in the end. For a young adult like myself who works in the nonprofit sector, the monetary amounts for my case did seem like large dollar amounts but when it was all said & done, every penny spent to work with Michael Crowley was 100% worth it. In my case, Michael and his firm did all the work and effort to ensure that I would receive my accident compensation to the fullest extent possible and I did not have to pay them anything upfront or do anything beyond my role as a client. I had the final say in all decisions along the way and only when my settlement was sent over from the insurance company, did they receive payment. This may be a somewhat common deal that personal injury lawyers offer to victims in an accident but Michael Crowley and his team at Janssen Malloy do amazingly professional work that I could never accomplish and I walked away feeling as though I was compensated monetarily AND more educated in the matters of personal injuries. Michael Crowley will personally explain every important bit of the process in a way you can understand. He will dedicate all of his years of expertise towards ensuring you walk away with the best outcome possible and overall my experience working with him was completely excellent.

Auto Accident

After dealing with the insurance company of the man who hit me head on, and being totally overwhelmed and totally emotional about my situation - I found Michael Crowley. What a blessing. After our initial contact I handed over my stack of documents and walked out of the office feeling relieved and ...that I was going to be taken care of. I was. He is an amazing man, so knowledgeable and caring, he put me at ease and made me feel like I was in the right place. We went through the process of a deposition, which was much easier having him sitting by my side. He was able to negotiate a settlement three times what was originally offered. I was thrilled with the outcome. I want to add that he has an amazing Paralegal, Connie, I can't say enough about her, so efficient and helpful and caring. I never thought I would be in a situation where I would need a lawyer, but now I know if I ever need help I have someone who will be in my corner fighting for me. Feels good.

Michael Crowley

I can't say enough good things about Mr. Crowley. He took on my case about three years ago and it is finally winding down. I was rear-ended in November 2007 and my car was totaled. I sustained a right shoulder injury because of the accident. After months of physical therapy, cortisone injections,... etc. etc. I finally had subacromial decompression surgery in March 2011, since there were no other options left for me. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mr. Crowley has been there for me. He is very down-to-earth and takes the time to make you feel like you are the only client he has. We had some difficulties with the insurance carrier dragging their feet, including a mediation conference in November 2010, in which nothing was resolved. Michael stuck with it and we never gave up. We had a court date set for mid November 2011 and the case was settled out of court just a couple of weeks ago for almost what we were asking for. I can't recommend him enough for anyone who needs an excellent, knowledgeable attorney. I'm glad my case didn't go to trial--really glad---but I would love to watch him in action in the courtroom. The man doesn't give up. We're very fortunate in Humboldt County to have him practicing here. I actually picked him out of the phone book because I had no one to ask for a recommendation who had experienced what I had. I couldn't have picked better. His staff is absolutely wonderful too.

Went Above and Beyond

I came to Crowley after I was injured on the job. My hand was crushed by a log from a loading operater. I had nerve damage and was off the job for over three years. During this time, the company who employed the loader operator as well as my employer took no blame. I went to Crowley who believed and ...fought for my rights. It was a constant battle whether we were going to settle the case or if the opposing side wanted to go to trial but the entire time Crowley fought and defended me. He took a risk on my case finanically but nethertheless he took on my case because that is the type of person he is. He fights for people's rights. I would highly recommend Michael Crowley and use him again if needed. He is the type of lawyer who keeps you informed, is always honest, and it is very knowledgeable on all legal matters. At the end of my case I was amazed and pleased with the results Michael was able to perform. We ended up settling for over double the amount the opposing side had initially offered. I have no one other than Michael Crowley to thank.
