Joanne Carter

Joanne Carter has worked in criminal defense for approximately 20 years.  She has worked in all the courts within Humboldt County, including misdemeanor, felony, juvenile and dependency courts.  Joanne has extensive experience representing youth ages twelve to twenty, both in the criminal courts and school settings.  After working at the Public Defender's office for eighteen years, she has opened her own law practice.  She is now accepting clients in the area of family law as well.  Joanne has appeared in court thousands of times and has over one hundred court and jury trials within the past two decades.  She is committed to her clients and works hard to acheive the best result.
