Mr. Knight was born March 30, 1974 in Los Angeles, California and his family moved to Mendocino County soon after. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996 and was a U.S. Army Armor officer from 1996 to 2001, deploying in operations to Macedonia, Kuwait and Kosovo. Following his military service, Mr. Knight spent several years in plant engineering for Kellogg and Nestle corporations until he decided to attend law school. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law as a member of the Traynor Honor Society and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008.
