Bruce Janigian, A.B., J.D., LL.M., practices international business law and government relations, and advises global business leaders, government officials and international organizations. Former Navy judge advocate, Fulbright professor of law, attorney adviser for the US Agency for International Development, and vice president of the Salzburg Global Seminar, he currently leads the US delegation in the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and serves on advisory boards for the University of California, the University of San Francisco, Salzburg College, and the World Affairs Council. He recently completed six years as vice president of the University of California affiliated American University of Armenia, as well as serving as its law dean, and on boards of the Armenian Technology Group and Applied Research and Planning for Armenia. He also served as a visiting scholar at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace, and a consultant for the International Labor Organization.
Mr. Janigian also held a number of executive and academic appointments in California, including Chairman of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board (1990-95) and Deputy Director and Chief Legal Counsel of the California Employment Development Department (1984-89). He has taught graduate law and MBA courses around the world, including international litigation, and commercial, investment and financial transactions.
Mr. Janigian is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Berkeley's honors program in International Relations and holds law degrees from the University of California and the George Washington University (International and Comparative Law). He leads his own law firm based in the Bay Area, with affiliated firms in Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
Writing under the pen name of Avery Mann (writing for every man), he has published two successful novels in his Mark Jamison series: Angel Landing and Persona Non Grata: End of the Great Game.
