Fierce fighter
Mr Borden handled a very complicated criminal case for me . Considering all the factors in my case , the outcome went pretty well. He put up fierce fight to see I was treated fairly ( which is not easy in this county ) . He may be a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Unfair Handling of Case.
He took my money, which he called a retainer over $3,000.00, but only made a couple court appearances, and now refuses to represent client further, and case is unresolved. I see he’s listed as A divorce attorney, not a criminal attorney even Though Mark is posing as a criminal attorney. He quit st...
I believe this person hired me to represent her son who is currently incarcerated at the local state prison and while there picked up a new criminal case. I took a flat fee retainer on this criminal case and made 4 court appearances plus went to see the client twice at the state prison so as to discuss reports and videos I received and reviewed. The person also just recently inquired as to how much more it would cost to keep me representing her son but due to the contents of text messages and e-mails that she sent to me I decided that I could no longer represent her son.

Surface Attorney Does the Bare Minimum
He is an okay attorney... he knows the laws but not your case. He knows enough to skate by but not necessarily fight for all your rights. He is all about settling and not aggressive representation. I was a personal client and his follow up is non-existent his paralegal Fran did all the hard work.
"Mark really knows how the courts work. He explains things in ways that are easy to understand and you could tell he knows what he's doing. Thanks for the help Mark"
"Mr. Borden knows the local courts very well, and has been a long-time member of the California DUI lawyer's association. That's what clients should want in an attorney: someone who is willing to do the work necessary to be well-prepared for court, on top of developments in the law and possessing the technical skills and experience necessary for successful criminal defense. As an out-of-town attorney, I approached Mark who provided sage advice to me on more than one occasion."
