Amanda L. Pimentel

I had the displeasure of working with miss Pimentel for about two years while I interned ant the office she worked at. Despite not understanding the full scope of what she did, I believed in her and asked if she would represent me because I was in my last year of graduate school getting my masters d...egree in social work, and I was not in the best place financially when my son was taken from me in the middle of the night against my will and moved 3 states away. My ex was evicted from her home because she was out every other weekend doing drugs, living carelessly, while I grinded to get my MSW, staying home every weekend to watch my son and her 4 children while she partied well into the next morning coming home drunk and high on cocaine. Attorney Pimentel assured me for months that we had this in the bag, all while being extremely unprofessional and disrespectful during our conferences. She failed to show up to my mediation, where the mediator had recommended that my son be returned home to me, and then “forgot” to subpoena the mediator for trial. My recommendation was lost. She even had the nerve to tell me that if she had been present, she could have got my son back. Leading up to trial, my ex was extremely concerned, because I had so many incriminating text messages showing how irresponsible and careless she was, that she knew she was going to lose. Attorney Pimentel listened to absolutely nothing that I said, as if she was better than me. She was extremely lazy, and even disregarded the advice that her husband, a family law attorney, gave her to help me win my case. Pimentel showed up for trial and gave me up like a sacrificial lamb. I spent over 40 hours printing out extremely incriminating text messages that would have kept my ex from moving my son 3 states away, and she used none of them. 3 of my closest friends and family came to my hearing and had the same thing to say…she looked unprepared , had no strategy, and looked completely out of her element. I had everything prepared to absolutely incriminate my ex, and she listened to absolutely nothing I said. I’m writing this because nobody should suffer through the heartbreak that I am experiencing, and if you trust Pimentel, this is what your outcome me will be. She only cares about money, and will disregard everything you tell her because she believes that since she is an attorney, she knows it all. Good attorney’s work with you, not for you. DO NOT make the same mistake I did by hiring her. She has no backbone, and will not fight for your case. She talks a big game until she sees the judge than ABSOLUTELY folds. After doing a bit of research, I found that I was not the only one that experienced this. Do not hire her…she does not care about anything else other than making money. I wanted everyone to know because now that she lost my slam dunk case, my ex will not let me see my son. She is a mess.

Amanda represented me in my CPS CASE in 2019. When we went over my report I told her what was said was wrong and right.. she didn't get it heard in court. She pretty much didn't help me show the court that I was a good mother or get any records of my daughters schooling or medical to show the courts ...I do take care of my daughter. She basically I felt she was on CPS side.. which ended courts to taking my parental rights...
