Biography
My legal practice is focused on commercial real estate and business law. In real estate, I handle commercial leasing, purchase and sale, development, financing, title issues, development work, litigation and dispute resolution. In business law, I primarily deal with the "business of real estate," but I also handle general corporate formations, drafting of contracts and litigation related to business disputes. I represent a wide variety of clients, ranging from individual investors and small businesses to publicly traded corporations and REITS.
My philosophy is to offer top notch "big firm" knowledge, quality and expertise but via a specialized "boutique firm" environment which highly values the client. This allows me to really interact with my clients, understand their needs and provide efficient and appropriate legal advice and solutions. I strive to "partner" with my clients to be a creative and practical problem-solver, rather than a road block or deal breaker. Many attorneys are traditionally focused exclusively on litigation or contractual work; however, as I have experience in both, I provide a unique legal perspective and resources to my clients.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me enjoying time with my family, hiking, cycling, or racing sailboats on the San Francisco Bay!
