He has also advised on trade secrets and testified as an expert witness in binding arbitration.
Mr. Piatnicia works in a broad range of technologies, whether hardware or software, e.g., cell phones, chip design, computer networks, computer controlled machines, disk drives, graphical interfaces, image sensors, LEDs, memory chips, microprocessors, microwave and antenna technology, position sensors, software defined storage, wafer manufacturing, and wireless communications.
Before entering law, he was a senior design engineer at Westinghouse in microwave technology for six years. Mr. Piatnicia is a former registered Professional Engineer, having passed both required examinations and demonstrated the requisite electrical engineering experience.
