Kris Gian Marbel Octabiano

Kris Octabiano grew up in Santa Clara County and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 2008. He relocated to Sacramento, California where he served as a Political and Legislative Consultant to public-sector employees advocating for labor and employment rights. Mr. Octabiano also concurrently served as an Executive Director of a non-profit engaging young voters throughout the State to get involved in local government. His interest in advocating for those who don’t have the ability to do so motivated him to return to the Bay Area and receive his Juris Doctorate degree in 2018 from Santa Clara University, School of Law.

During Law School, Mr. Octabiano served as President of the Student Bar Association focusing on increased extracurricular student involvement. He reestablished two public-interest student groups – the Filipino American Law Society and Equality - Santa Clara University. He served as a Judicial Intern to various family law judges at the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Mr. Octabiano also competed in the Galloway Criminal Moot Court Competition in law school reaching the quarter-final round and received a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in the field of Intellectual Property.

Mr. Octabiano joined Hoover Krepelka, LLP as a law clerk in 2017, and was promoted to associate attorney upon passing the California Bar Examination.

Mr. Octabiano loves to snowboard in the winter and cycle in the summer and has an incredible passion of travel to learn about the many different cultures of the world.
