Kate is patient, kind and sees the big picture when all you can see is red. To say I was a difficult client and that my ex-husband was a nightmare is a huge understatement. Kate handled my custody and support agreements. She was super pro-active from the very start and always prompt, thorough, and clear in her communications with me and with the opposing council. Her background as a district attorney made her unflappable and extremely effective during our court appear...ance no matter how unpleasant or aggressive opposing council became. Beyond that, Kate took the time to really get to know me and my situation and made sure that what was most important to me became most important to her as she crafted and reviewed agreements and caught potential long-term loopholes due to loose wording, etc. My case took less than a year and I feel like not only were custody and financial agreements been put in place, I feel like there are long term protections in place for me and my child that may have been missed had Kate not been meticulous in her work. One other thing I appreciated about Kate was that she was very direct about what my chances were on various demands and focused me on what was attainable and worth fighting for and kept me away from demands that would prolong the case but have low chance of positive outcome.
