Joshua Aaron Maltzer

Josh Maltzer is an experienced civil litigator with a focus on business disputes, insurance coverage, fraud, and construction defect litigation. Like all attorneys at Elliott & Elliott, Josh tries cases. He has litigated matters in both state and federal courts throughout California as well as in Arizona, Washington, and Wyoming.

As a trial attorney, Josh has obtained millions of dollars in insurance recoveries, construction defect damages, judgments, and settlements for business owners, policyholders, property managers, developers, real estate purchasers, and public housing agencies. Josh has also litigated cases on the defense side, securing complete defense victories and advantageous settlements in complex business and real-estate matters. With his experience on both sides of the aisle, Josh brings unique insight to evaluating complex litigation problems and advising clients on effective, big-picture solutions.

Prior to his career as an attorney, Josh worked in the high-pressure world of disaster relief and prevention, managing emergency hurricane relief teams in Florida and Guatemala with a focus on preventing water intrusion into residential structures, coordinating flood remediation and repair, and navigating insurance claims on behalf of homeowners. As a member of the bar, Josh now brings the same dedication and determination to delivering results for his clients.

Josh is licensed to practice law in California and is an active a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and American Bar Association. Away from the office, Josh enjoys playing golf, skiing, hiking with his family, and teaching his daughter how to putt.
