  I am a blue collar attorney.  I put myself through law school as a union journeyman sheetmetal worker.  I had a personal experience with the law and drugs when I was young that compelled me to defend others from a system wrought with unfairness and designed to convict good people of unwarranted crimes.  I bring all my experiences to the table and this is what nakes me stand out as a criminal defense attorney.  I take every case as though it was my friend or family member in trouble and I fight for a fair outcome in favor of my clients.

  My highlights are two cases wherein my clients were facing a mandatory 37 years to life.  In both case I prevailed, getting an acquittal for one and a hung jury on the other. Among my other highlights are the many dismissals had for my clients and the 3 strike cases in which we prevailed at prevented life sentences for my clients.  I also have many other successes, including 3 writs granted, 2 to the appellate court that were  granted in my clients' favor and wherein the appelate court ordered the lower court judge judges to change their rulings.  I am not afraid to fight the tough fight.

  At the same time, I can also be very reasonable and as such I have developed a very good rapport with the vast majority of Judges, DA's, probation officers, and court personnel.  These relationships have been carefully nurtured over 13 years and often result in my clients getting the benefit of the doubt because of the trust and reputation I enjoy in the legal community.

  I have literrally handled thousands of criminal cases and also many personal injury cases.  Of this vast number of cases, I can state that I have never had a complaint with the Bar and also without a doubt that at least 99% of my clients have praised my handling of their cases in addition to my honesty and fairness.

  Finally, while I have handled very minor cases all the way to murder cases, I put the same 100% into each endeavor.  As a result, I have appeared on legal shows such as "The Law and You" and spoken at seminars to other legal professionals about different areas of law.  Perhaps the most rewarding experience of all, has been the years I have spent as a professor of law at Lincoln Law School and the pride and joy I have when I encounter former students in the courtroom.
